Gail Garland is a business owner with over 25 years experience in management, sales, administrative and customer support roles.

While working in the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 500 Company, she developed a broad base of experience. In the sales area she mastered skills in networking, tradeshows, and customer support functions. She also had the unique experience of working in order administration and manufacturing where she was involved with labor negotiations in a union environment, dealing with such issues as incentive work, packing, shipping and scheduling deliveries.

As a realtor she excelled in both sales and office management. With 14 years of real estate experience behind her, Gail earned the prestigious Ohio President’s Sales Award several years in a row, along with the Multi-Million Dollar Club Awards yearly through the Zanesville Board of Realtors and also individual Million Dollar Awards through Prudential.

Gail’s lifelong dream of owning her own retail store became reality in December of 2004 when the doors of Jillian’s opened for business.    When asked what brought her to this line of work, her response was, “ When I was a little girl, I always wanted to play shop keeper and run my own shop”.

The most fulfilling part of owning a retail store for Gail is the interaction with the people and having the opportunity to play a part in their special occasions.   She is eager to help customers with the planning and selection of appropriate attire for their special occasions while helping them stay focused on meeting their goals for deadlines and budget.

Gail’s desire to help people is also is reflected in the many ways she contributes to the community. An active participant and committee volunteer for the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, March of Dimes, Salvation Army, Genesis Healthcare, Helen Purcell, and Soroptimist Club.

Gail is a member of National Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, Zanesville Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Bridal Retailers.   She currently serves on the Board for the Zanesville Board of Realtors, the Executive Committee and is a Past President of the 285-member organization.

She currently serves on the committee for the South Eastern Ohio Bridal and Prom Expo and also the Miss SEO Pageant where she enjoys giving her time and attention to sharing her insights with others having common interests.

A resident of Zanesville since 1993 she has enjoyed living in Muskingum County and likes spending time with her family, friends, coworkers and volunteers of other organizations. In her spare time she enjoys playing golf and keeping up on her musical talents.
